an Open Question

Question??:

Why is it that we very seldom come across any ladies tees, which show the same information than that which is nearly always displayed on the men’s tees?

I refer of course to the direction, distance, shape and bunker placements of each hole!  Sometimes, par and distance is just not sufficient information.

It seems that unless we are fortunate enough to have to walk past a men’s tee on our way to the ladies tees, that we would have no idea what to expect before we hit off.  Especially on courses that we may not have played before or those that we do not play too often!

One would hope that in this day and age that the answer has no sexist connotations, that ‘the powers that be’ are working on fixing what can only be regarded as an unfair anomaly?
