VICKY UWLAND at the final of the Vicky Uwland Junior Bracelet 2009

The last round of the Vicky Uwland was played at Torquay on the 8th of November. It was a very exciting round which was won by our new participant, Reshae Armstrong from Portarlington. Reshae has a handicap of 38 and had 35 pts. Katharine Bunting came second with a handicap of 9 she had 34 pts.  Reshae also won the nearest the pin.

The overall results ended with a tie between Alice Caddy and Chloe Pukk.  There was a count back with Alice winning and Chloe runner up.

The lovely bracelet was presented to Alice by our special guest on the day, Vicky Uwland. Vicky flew down from the Gold Coast to attend the event and gave a talk on her journey with golf and achievements which was fantastic for the girls and their parents along with the rest of us to hear.

Her easy going attitude was just what the girls could relate to. One of the girls asked if Vicky’s handicap was 0 because she didn’t play much! We all loved that.

Hopefully next year the event will have even more participants as it is a great tournament, the girls have a lot of fun and the parents play for a funny little trophy in their earlier comp as well!!

Vicky travelled from Queensland for presentation
