VALE Jenny Mountjoy
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of the South
Western District Ladies Golf Association’s Vice-President,
Jenny Mountjoy.
Jenny was a delight to be around and her dedication to the
District Committee was exemplary. Though seriously ill for
much of her term, she was eager to assist me in any way she
could, albeit from the wings, but I always appreciated her
input and support.
A member of Barwon Heads, I know she was extremely proud to
have been nominated to committee, firstly as a committee
person, then Match, and lastly Vice-President. This position
was a great honour to Jenny, and I enjoyed the short time I
was able to work with her.
Our thoughts are with her family, husband Murray and
children and her Barwon Heads club mates. I had occasion to
speak with Murray and he is truly one of life’s gentlemen.
On behalf of the committee, Jenny will be missed, and we are
sure that she will be playing great golf on the Premier
course upstairs.
