All the girls played very well and its wonderful to watch the improvement.

The final round is to be held at Torquay on the 8th of November starting at 10.00am.

It has been a very competitive round and the last day should be very exciting.

We have introduced a rather humorous trophy for the parents , who play before the girls hit off. Sue Plummer won it last Sunday and I am sure it will become a sought after prize!

Kay Mahlook Shield 2009
The South Western Team was Rachel Korevaar, Katharine Bunting and Deanne Woodman (winners of the shield in 2008)
Marilyn Mooney took girls up to Bendigo instead of Ange Foott as she was too ill. Brief report is that the girls won their game against West Gippsland but lost to the eventual winners - East Gippsland as well as the Runner - Up - Goulburn Valley. They had a difficult task in defending the title as both Rachel and Katharine had to give 5 - 10 shots each game. But they all competed strongly and represented South Western with distinction.

Katharine Bunting was selected for the Border Team to contest the Cudmore/ Cheney Challenge in January 2009
Katharine Bunting did a great job representing Victoria in the Cudmore Cheney Challenge in Robe in Jan. Vic and S.A tied in the end result.
