OPEN A TERRIFIC DAY AT 13TH BEACH
heartache and change of venue and date, the Junior
Girls gathered to contest the 2016 Open and Round 1
of the Vicky Uwland Bracelet.
sincerely grateful to both 13th Beach and
East Geelong who have swapped host days with a
minimum of fuss from either club. I enjoy working
with both these Managers who always go out of their
way to help SW, it is appreciated.
Back to the
stars of the show, the beautiful band of young girls
we have, Lyn and I, and today Jay marvelled at their
skills and just the way they present themselves.
This is where the mums and dads can be extremely
proud of their daughters. And I should say on the
other side, the dedication of the dads and mums
makes it possible for the girls to attend. We very
much admire how you are willing to ferry the girls
around here and there, thanks so much.
Now to the
good news, and there is some great news to report.
Georgia Fish from Colac GC returned a sensational
score of 80 to retain the Championship she won in
2015. Well done Georgia, you just keep on improving
and we could not be happier or more proud. Along
with the great win, Georgia is now the lowest GA she
has ever been, 8.7, thatís a terrific achievement at
just 15 years of age.
winner, also played a great 18 holes to take the
trophy. Sophie Hood from Portarlington GC presented
a score of 116/42/74. Congratulations Sophie.
It was also
Round 1 of the Vicky Uwland Junior Bracelet and all
the girls have made a great start, but the Rd 1
winner is Sophie Hood with 39 and Georgia a close
second with 38, but still with 3 rounds to go, its
way open for everyone.
Round 2 is
now at East Geelong on June 5, please make a note in
your diary. A new entry form with the new date and
