Here are the results of our Bowl held today for placing on the website. It was Wendy Poyner and Sandra Martin’s first time playing in a Bowl. Not a bad effort from them in today’s conditions!.

The Lady Captain and fellow lady golfers,

Over the years the Ladies of the Ocean Grove Golf Club have endeavored to support events at all Clubs where possible. I would like on behalf of our Committee and Lady members, to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind hospitality at those events and extend a warm welcome to our Club to enjoy some of our own hospitality in return. To avoid clashes and golf overload, we have only 2 major events in 2009, the Open tournament (including 4BBB on Tuesday 8^th September, the Ladies Open on 11^th September and mixed events Wednesday and Sunday of the same week) and our Bowl on Monday, 28^th September (the Open and Bowl events are both Merit Award events).

We are extremely proud of how our Course has been transformed over the past years. We believe that it has never been in better condition than at present. The trees have established, birdlife have returned, the dams are full and all the fairways have complete grass coverage to make a picturesque but challenging Course for golfers of all handicap ranges. For those who have visited us recently, we hope you enjoyed your day and would like to return. For those of you who have not been for a few years and remember the Course as short, bare and built on a tip, I would encourage you to come along to one (or more) of our Events coming up in September and see the transformation for yourself, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised. For those players who have never played at our Course, I’m sure you’ll be surprised too and hopefully enjoy your experience.
