The purposes for which the proposed incorporated association is established are: - 

1.                      To promote and advance the playing and administration of Women's golf in clubs affiliated with the Association. To remain a single uniform entity through and by which Women’s golf is conducted.

2.                      To assist Golf Victoria Ltd. in maintaining National or State policies, handicapping and course rating.

3.                      To conduct, advance and control Women’s golf in the District.

4.                      To raise the level and standard of Women's golf, and to promote, encourage and provide opportunity for the education, practice and play of Women’s golf.

5.                      To uphold and enforce the Rules of Golf and to ensure fair play in Women's golf.

6.                      To advance and protect the interests of Women in the sport of golf.

7.                      To select and appoint players to represent the District for golf competitions, other events or activities.

8.                      To work cooperatively with Member clubs to promote the sport and recruit new members.

9.                      To collect and apply the funds of the Association in such manner that the Association or the Committee of Management believes to be in the best interest of Women's golf in the South Western District.
